Pinoy Style Spaghetti
This recipe is one of my classic favorite. Everytime there is an occasion in the Philippines, you will always see spaghetti served in the table. This is because of the supersticious belief that it can longer the celebrant's life. An alternative to 'pansit'. Now, I'll be sharing to you how to cook the real Pinoy spaghetti that is sweeter than the italian version and of course we will be using our very own red hotdogs. This is fairly easy. No fancy herbs and even the one that has just been practising how to cook can do this.
Ingredients:
- 1 kilo (2.2 lbs) spaghetti noodles
- 3/4 kilo (1.65 lbs) ground beef
- 3/4 kilo (1.65 lbs) hot dogs
- Spaghetti sauce (use 750g (26.5 ounce) pouch in this recipe)
- 1 cup minced onion
- 1 head of garlic finely minced
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 bottle banana ketchup
- 1 box quick melt cheese
- 1/2 cup water
- salt and pepper to taste
